Our General Manager, Sally Beck was promoted from Director of Marketing at our sister hotel – The Landmark London, to her current role as General Manager here at the Lancaster London.


Sonia Bellido, Groups Coordinator,  shares her Journey with the Lancaster London so far…

‘I started more than 7 years ago as a casual banqueting waitress until I was given the opportunity to work full time in the Business Centre taking care of the main hotel switchboard and the guests internet services. After that, I moved to the Front office as a receptionist, where I took care of our guests from their arrival until their departure with their accommodation and other enquiries. Later I was promoted to Front Office coordinator, where I was responsible for the administrative tasks of the reception as well as group arrivals. During that period, I developed my supervisory skills and I was provided with the training needed for it, so then I was able to put myself forward for another promotion as a Reception Shift Leader. After a year, I was promoted again as Assistant Guest Services Manager, taking care of the concierge team and the luggage porters. During that time, I started studying for a MA in Tourism and Hospitality Management and the hotel has been very supportive providing me with the time flexibility I needed in order to attend the classes. I am currently working at the Reservations department as a Groups Coordinator to continue my personal and professional development. I have recently returned from maternity leave so let’s see what new opportunities the Lancaster London has for me in my future!’
